Bundaberg Rum Distillery
Bundaberg of course is the home of the iconic Bundaberg Rum. See, smell, and taste your way through the process of making Australia’s most famous spirit. Distillery tours run 7 days a week.
Te Bundaberg Rum Bondstore sells a range of standard and collectors edition rums along with souvenirs and other collectables.

Brewed Drinks Barrel
Bundaberg Brewed Drinks are another iconic local brand. BBD still make the famous ginger beer that started it all but their line-up now includes a vast array of thirst quenching flavours.
At the Bundaberg Barrel you can take the True Brew Experience Tour, learn about the brewing process on the interactive touch screens, enjoy a 3D hologram adventure in the theatre, or pick up the perfect souvenir in the gift shop.

Botanic Gardens
The Bundaberg Botanic Gardens are spread over 27 ha and feature over 10000 trees and shrubs, a lake which provides a habitat for a range of birdlife, boardwalks, a cafe, and picnic areas.
Other attractions within the Botanic Gardens include:

Bargara
Bargara is just a 15 minute drive from the Bundaberg city centre and features an attractive streetscape area, an abundance of accommodation and dining options, shops, beaches, parks, walking and cycling paths, and excellent diving and snorkelling locations.
For those who enjoy a bit of exercise try walking the Turtle Trail which runs from Bargara to Mon Repos and Burnett Heads.

Burnett Heads / Port
Burnett Heads is located at the mouth of the Burnett River just 16km from Bundaberg and features two marinas, some great fishing spots and the lovely Oaks Beach. Many people simply like to visit the port to admire the boats and the outstanding view.
You will also find a historic lighthouse and you can walk the Turtle Trail to Mon Repos and Bargara.

Mon Repos
Mon Repos is one of the best places in the world to witness the nesting and hatching of loggerhead turtles. It has the most significant nesting population of this endangered species in the South Pacific.

Coral Cove
For golfing enthusiasts Coral Cove features the Coral Cove golf course and resort facility. Many consider consider the par 3 second hole to be one of the toughest but most scenic golf holes in Australia.
The Barolin Rocks dive and snorkelling site is also accessible from the shoreline at Coral Cove.

Elliott Heads
Elliott Heads is located at the mouth of the Elliott River. With both surf and still water areas it is the perfect spot for a range of activities including swimming, fishing, boating, jet skiing, sailboarding, and paragliding.

Moore Park Beach
Moore Park is situated around 15km north of Bundaberg and features 20km of pristine beach. The ideal spot to relax and unwind. The beach is also nesting spot for loggerhead turtles. Moore Park Beach has a small shopping centre, tavern, and cafes.

Woodgate
Woodgate is the perfect destination for a quiet relaxing holiday or simply just a day trip from Bundaberg. It features 16km of pristine beach which is protected from large swells by Fraser Island. Behind the beach esplanade the township features a mix of traditional Queenslander homes, beach shacks, and more modern homes.
Woodgate is surrounded by Kinkuna National Park and it is not unusual to see the wildlife making themselves at home within the town itself.

The Hummock
Although only 96 metres above sea level, the Hummock provides panoramic views over the whole area. Catch the sunrise over the Coral Coast, see the sunset behind Bundaberg with the stacks of the sugar mill on the horizon, or take a walk along the boardwalk through the Woongarra Vine Scrub.
The Hummock is the volcanic remnant responsible for creating our rocky coastline thousands of years ago.

Town Of Childers
Situated around 30 minutes drive from Bundaberg, Childers has a range of historical sites to explore.
The town really comes to life in July when the main street (Bruce Highway) is closed for the annual Childers Festival – a feast of colour, flavours, and entertainment.
